This recording comes from a video taped interview in Hollywood, California of Trevor Rabin, Chris Squire, Tony Kaye, (and Alan White?). It was recorded in 1994 by Absolute Films (Absolutefilms.com). This audio recording was made using a handheld tape recorder held next to a speaker while the tape was being viewed. The quality is very poor, but it's history. Maybe someone has a better source tape? Original video? Part a: Trevor Rabin is interviewed for Mexican MTV. Part b: Trevor continues his interview. Part c: Two men joke about the tape, particularly making fun of Trevor Rabin, his clothes, his son, etc. They nickname him "Trent". Part d: Chris Squire and Tony Kaye enter for this segment, and some discussion occurs about a birthday greeting, very little interview is audible here. One of the men making this tape of the video starts to play Mood For A Day. The Yes interview is cut off. Part e: The boys from Absolute Films enjoy finding thier logo in the video. Parts f and g: "Who's Tony?" "He might be the drummer." Tony Kaye tells how Union was forced on Yeswest. Trevor continues. He tells how 4 Macs were used to record TALK. The boys from Absolute Films blab about their camera angles and stuff like that. Tony tells about leaving YES long ago, and joining with David Foster [who still owes me $35]. Part h: More gloating by the boys at Absolute Films. You might hear some of the interview in the background. Part i: Bill Bruford vs. Alan White? The sound goes wierd at this point. Part j: The sound goes really wierd. RadioActive promo "History of Yes on RadioActive 98.5" [I thought this was an MTV Mexico interiew! Is Mexican TV shown on the radio? Ah, wait... schneiderama tells me that the radio interviewer came in on the heals of the MTV interview. This 'reporter' lets Trevor drift away from the topic of music...] Trevor talks politics of South Africa. Part k: Question to Trevor Rabin: "... how did you perceive the music of Yes?" (answer is cut off). Thank you John Schneiderama from So. Cal for donating this recording for everyone to hear.
